WASHINGTON, D.C. — Jan. 7, 2020 — BakerHostetler announced today that <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/MorganWHoltman">Morgan W. Holtman</a> has joined the firm as a partner on its international tax team, resident in Washington, D.C. She previously was a director in a Big Four accounting firm’s national tax practice.  Holtman brings with her nearly 20 years of experience in transactional tax matters, having begun her career with the Big Four accounting firm’s national office in 2001, joined Dewey Ballantine LLP as a tax associate in 2006 and returned to the Big Four accounting firm as a director in 2012.  Throughout her career, Holtman has advised clients in a variety of industries, including in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, technology and investment management sectors, on transactional tax matters ranging from corporate acquisitions and dispositions to financings and intangibles transfers. She has extensive experience in partnership taxation, with emphasis on cross-border corporate joint ventures. Holtman routinely advises clients on partnership matters including formation, operation and liquidation issues; complex equity structures; special allocations; and mergers and acquisitions. She also has considerable experience coordinating with non-U.S. tax advisers on multijurisdictional transactions and representing clients in tax controversy matters.  “Morgan’s experience advising on complex international and partnership tax matters will be helpful to our clients as they engage in transactions and as they continue to structure and restructure their business operations with a view toward minimizing their global effective tax rates,” said <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/JeffreyHParavano">Jeffrey H.
