Overview

Lisa Luz Parker’s developing commercial and business litigation practice encompasses contract disputes, franchise relationships, product liability and business torts in addition to administrative proceedings. She regularly manages state and federal cases from the start of litigation, including handling discovery, taking depositions, drafting dispositive motions and retaining experts. She also has experience advising electric vehicle manufacturers on the litigation risks of conducting sales and service activity under state statutory restrictions. Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Lisa clerked for the Honorable Nelva Gonzales Ramos, U.S. District Judge in the Southern District of Texas.

  • Assisted in the prosecution of a declaratory judgment action in federal court. Handled research, dispositive motions and deposition preparation.
  • Lead associate in a Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act lawsuit between a motor vehicle distributor and a consumer. Represented client in mediation and a motion hearing.
  • Served as member of a trial team in a dispute involving a multimillion-dollar breach of contract claim between a heavy-truck manufacturer and a supplier. Researched and drafted trial memorandums on key issues. Case resulted in favorable settlement for the client.
