Michalea Delaveris focuses her practice on all aspects of employee benefits and compensation. She strives to gain a deep understanding of her clients’ businesses in order to provide timely advice aimed at helping clients achieve their strategic goals. Michalea advises employers of all types, including governmental, publicly-traded and not-for-profit entities, through the unique regulatory and compliance challenges they encounter.

Michalea is a member of the Recruiting Committee for the Columbus office.

  • Represents a self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangement in annual state licensing procedures.
  • Assists in the representation of an auto parts manufacturer in various pension de-risking and retirement benefits simplification programs.
  • Established a fully-funded multiple employer welfare arrangement for an Ohio-based trade association.
  • Provided advice and counsel on the design and implementation of an equity incentive arrangement intended to provide long-term compensation to a key employee of a closely-held company.
  • Successfully obtained a T-visa for a pro bono client who was the victim of human trafficking and in the United States on account of such trafficking.
  • Served as counsel to a private equity company in the wrap-up and dissolution of a fund, and the related transfer of contingent rights to a self-liquidating trust.
