Michelle St. Pierre’s practice focuses on estate planning and assisting high-net-worth families and privately owned companies with their planning and business needs. She has significant experience advising clients regarding entity formation and reorganization in connection with business succession planning, including crafting and negotiating complex buy/sell agreements for closely held companies. Michelle brings a holistic yet practical approach to business succession planning and helps families who appear to have irreconcilable goals attain workable solutions by facilitating difficult discussions. She has counseled her clients in all facets of transactional law, including multimillion-dollar real estate development and leasing transactions.

Michelle serves as the Tax Group coordinator for the firm's Denver office. She is a member of the office’s Executive Committee and Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee.

  • Played a key role in restructuring three separate family businesses, including discussing the family's goals with family members; preparing materials for and leading family meetings; and preparing and negotiating all documents relevant to the succession plan, including entity restructure, gifting documents, trust agreements and gift tax returns. Facilitated all aspects of the valuation process for businesses in connection with transfers and tax reporting.
