Alan Friel Comments on Ad Industry Push to Delay CCPA Enforcement

In an article published Jan. 29, 2020, by Law360, Partner Alan Friel was quoted regarding his thoughts on how leading advertising trade associations are asking the California Attorney General to delay enforcement of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) by six months. Aside from the amount of time needed for associations to become compliant, Friel pointed out other issues such as "...varying interpretations of the legal relationship between publishers and ad tech companies."
