Partner Alan Friel is quoted in an article published on April 25, 2019, in The National Journal. The article, “Surprise Defeat of California Privacy Bill Could Curb Debate in Washington,” discusses the recent defeat of a bill that would have dramatically expanded the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Friel told the publication that the defeated bill, “was really a fringe bill that did not have legislative leadership support. “[It] would have radically modified the CCPA.”
