Partner Asim Grabowski-Shaikh is quoted in an article published on March 5, 2021, by Law360. The article, “4 Ways a Gensler-Led SEC Could Toughen SPAC Scrutiny,” reports on the potential for increased scrutiny of special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) if Gary Gensler is confirmed as chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Grabowski-Shaikh told Law360 that SEC guidance offers a jumping-off point for regulators to inquire further into SPAC transactions. He expects the agency to focus on what procedures blank-check teams and target companies used to establish deal values. "That seems to be a natural landing spot for the commission&#39;s focus," said Grabowski-Shaikh.
