BakerHostetler Appointed to United Kingdom's New Trade Law Panel

BakerHostetler has been appointed to the United Kingdom government’s new Trade Law Panel in an international consortium, joining UK firm Pinsent Masons and Canadian firm Fasken, to advise on international trade law disputes related to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The Trade Law Panel was established following a competitive tendering exercise to provide the UK government with legal advice and support on international trade disputes and remedies under WTO rules and international trade agreements post-Brexit. appointment will last for four years.

The BakerHostetler team is led by Partners Michael Snarr and Elliot Feldman in Washington, D.C. Snarr and Feldman are co-leaders of the firm’s International Trade Remedies and Trade Policy practice.

Snarr said, "It is an honor to be appointed with Pinsent Masons and Fasken to the panel to advise and represent the UK Government on international trade matters.” Feldman added, “We are looking forward to the restoration of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism that has served, and will continue to serve, a critical role in the resolution of international trade conflicts for the UK and all member countries.”
