BakerHostetler Leads Daylong Seminar for Tax Executives

BakerHostetler’s Tax Group, as well as the Employee Benefits and Federal Policy practice teams, headlined the Tax Executives Institute Seminar held May 30, 2019, in Cleveland. They were joined by speakers from PNC Bank, Deloitte, EY and the Internal Revenue Service.

  • Firm Chairman Paul Schmidt, Partner Jeff Paravano and Associate Nick Mowbray presented a “Tax Legislative Update from Washington and Overview of International Tax Developments.”
  • Schmidt and Paravano also joined a panel discussion of “International Tax (GILTI, BEAT, FDII) and Related Domestic Issues, Including State Issues Associated with Federal Tax Reform.”
  • Partners Edward Bernert and Christopher Swift and Counsel Kelvin Lawrence presented a panel on “Ohio and Multistate State and Local Tax Developments.”
  • Partners John Lehrer and Edward Ptaszek addressed “Corporate and Business Tax Developments.”
