Brian Song, Sonny Carpenter Assist Sikh American Veterans Association in Air Force Uniform Victory

Partner Brian Song and Counsel Sonny Carpenter are included in an article published Feb. 17, 2020, by India Abroad. The article, “U.S. Air Force to Allow Sikh and Muslim Religious Accoutrements,” reports on a decision by the Air Force to allow Sikh and Muslim American service members to wear religious symbols such as Sikh turbans and beards and Muslim hijabs. Song and Carpenter represented the Sikh American Veterans Alliance pro bono in the organization’s efforts to convince the Air Force to change its uniform policies.

“We applaud the Air Force's efforts to create a stronger and more inclusive military, representative of our country's diversity,” Song told the publication.
