Partner Carl Hittinger is quoted in a front-page article published in the Wilmington News-Journal on Oct. 5, 2016. The article, “Lawsuit Claims Segregation: Activists, Parents Sue Indian River School District,” reports on a federal suit that claims one Indian River, Delaware, special-education school is a “dumping ground” for African-American students. Hittinger, who is providing pro bono representation to the plaintiffs suing the school district, told the newspaper, “There has been a longstanding problem of racial discrimination by the Indian River School District. . . . This is a serious matter and we are looking to the court system to provide justice.”
