News / March 10, 2020

Partner Dan Guttman was been appointed by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, with the advice and consent of the Ohio Senate, to the Ohio Thoroughbred Racing Advisory Council on Feb. 28, 2020. This is the second governor to appoint Guttman to advise on the Ohio thoroughbred racing and breeding industry and to administer the Ohio Thoroughbred Race Fund. Guttman was first appointed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich. He was elected Chairman of the council beginning in 2018.

As Chairman, his most recent accomplishment is developing a "Best of Ohio Series" of races beginning in 2020 that will feature $100,000 purses and be held at all of the Ohio tracks annually, giving exposure to racing around the state.

As an owner, Guttman has raced thoroughbred horses in partnership at Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Santa Anita, Del Mar and Gulfstream Park. Guttman has also advised thoroughbred syndicates on contracts, organizational matters and related activities.
