Daniel Warren Profiled as Law360 Cybersecurity and Privacy MVP

News / December 7, 2018

Partner Daniel Warren is profiled by Law360 as one of the publication’s “2018 Cybersecurity and Privacy MVPs.” The article highlights Warren’s success in winning a precedent-setting Seventh Circuit ruling that permanently barred common law claims filed against grocery chain Schnuck Markets Inc. by banks that issued cards affected by the company’s 2012 data breach.

The court agreed with the argument made by Warren’s team that the matter was fully covered by the various contracts between the company, the card payment networks and the banks, even if the banks were not satisfied with the compensation they received.

Law360’s MVPs are attorneys who have distinguished themselves from their peers over the past year through high-stakes litigation, record-breaking deals and complex global matters. A team of Law360 editors selected the 2018 MVP winners after reviewing nearly 1,000 submissions.
