Partner Donald Workman has been elected without opposition to the Florida Bar Board of Governors, representing out-of-state members. He will be sworn in at the Bar’s June convention.

Workman leads BakerHostetler’s Washington, D.C., Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice.

The Florida Bar Board of Governors has exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the Bar, subject to the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. The 52-member governing board is comprised of volunteer elected representatives from each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits and nearly 16,000 out-of-state members. The board also serves in an oversight role at all stages of the disciplinary review process, and makes decisions on behalf of the Bar with respect to discipline matters.

Workman has served on the Executive Council of the Out of State Division for many years as an at-large member, editor, secretary, treasurer, president-elect, and two terms as president. He also serves on the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar as Chair of the Bar/Florida Institute of CPA’s Committee and on the Business Law Section Executive Council.
