Employment Attorneys Participate at OSBA's Midwest Labor and Employment Seminar

The firm continued its longstanding participation in the Ohio State Bar Association’s Annual Midwest Labor and Employment Seminar. The seminar, which is in its 54th year, took place Oct. 12-13, 2017, and attracted more than 500 attorneys from across the Midwest.

Partner John Lewis presented on “Arbitration Agreements with Class Action Waivers, Supreme Court Review and Future Enforcement Issues.” In his presentation, he discussed three consolidated cases presently before the U.S. Supreme Court involving the enforceability of arbitration agreements with class action waivers under the Federal Arbitration Act, despite the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act. Partner M. Scott McIntyre moderated the discussion.

McIntyre is a member of the seminar planning committee. Also in attendance were Partners Gil Brosky, David Posner, Jeff Vlasik and Jeff Williams, and Associates Dustin Dow, Amanda Godzinski and Carrie Valdez.
