Jeff Paravano, Kerry Scarlott Talk to "Tax Notes" about Changes in Tax, Trade Policies

News / December 20, 2016

Partners Jeff Paravano and Kerry Scarlott are quoted in an article published Dec. 20, 2016, in Tax Notes. The article, “With Tax Reform on the Horizon, Practitioners Eye Trade Law,” discusses the implications of the House Republicans’ preference for a destination-based cash flow tax. Paravano and Scarlott note the overlap the policies and the need for tax and trade lawyers to collaborate in advising clients as tax reform moves forward, with Paravano adding, “We know, at a high level, that companies who produce in the United States and sell abroad will benefit most. Those who import raw materials or finished goods for ultimate sale in the United States will be paying significantly more tax."
