The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is asking a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit that data broker Kochava brought against the FTC weeks before it initiated an enforcement action against the company “for unlawfully selling sensitive location data collected from hundreds of millions of mobile devices,” according to the article.
Kaufman told HealthcareInfoSecurity that taking preemptive action against the FTC has been tried before but has not been successful.
