A webinar hosted by the American Intellectual Property Law Association will discuss patent litigation issues before the International Trade Commission (ITC). Partner Kevin Kirsch will participate as a panelist, and Associate Jeff Lesovitz will moderate the discussion. The webinar, entitled “ITC Section 337: Recent Developments and Looking Ahead with Chief ALJ Bullock,” will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2014, from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
The panelists will discuss recent developments and hot topics at the ITC, including:
- The presidential veto in Investigation No. 337-TA-794 (the Samsung-Apple investigation) and the continuing viability of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) at the ITC;
- The impact of the Federal Circuit’s decision in Suprema, Inc. v. ITC on indirect infringement claims;
- Recent changes in the law regarding licensing-based domestic industries; and
- Other important issues that the ITC is likely to address in 2014 and beyond.
