Marc Powers Is Speaking at 2015 SALT Conference on Preparing for and Responding to an SEC Investigation

Partner Marc D. Powers, Leader of BakerHostetler’s Hedge Fund Industry and Securities Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement practices, has been invited to address this year’s SkyBridge Alternatives (SALT) Conference, held May 5-8, in Las Vegas. His speech to the alternatives investments community on Friday, May 8, in Bellagio’s Grand Ballroom is titled “The Black White & Gray: Preparing for & Responding to an SEC Investigation.” Mr. Powers has been practicing securities regulation, litigation, and enforcement defense for more than 25 years since leaving the SEC’s Enforcement Division. During his career, he has provided compliance and regulatory advice to hedge funds, fund of funds, mutual funds, and family offices, as well as their principals, portfolio managers, compliance officers, and employees, and has represented them in SEC and CFTC investigations and proceedings, litigation, and arbitrations nationwide. A key member of the Hedge Fund Industry team, Partner Mark A. Kornfeld, will also attend this year's SALT Conference.
