News / January 5, 2017

Partner Mark Barron is quoted in an article published by E&E News on Jan. 5, 2017. The article, “Fracking Rule Debate Kicked to March,” reports on the decision by the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reschedule oral arguments on the Obama administration’s hydraulic fracturing rule from Jan. 17 to March.  Barron, who represents industry groups fighting the rule, said his side was prepared to present arguments Jan. 17 but would not be affected by the delay. He added, "That said, the 10th Circuit's ruling can be interpreted as recognizing the important separation of powers arguments at stake in the appeal and the need to ensure that enough time is provided so that all parties' perspectives are fully and fairly considered. We appreciate the court's consideration and welcome that approach."
