Nancy Inesta Comments on Upcoming Supreme Court Review of California Union Access Rule

News / March 19, 2021

Partner Nancy Inesta is quoted in an article published on March 19, 2021, by Law360. The article, “What's At Stake As High Court Tackles Union Access Case,” discusses a U.S. Supreme Court case that will decide if a decades-old rule from the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board granting unions limited access to farms in the Golden State results in a per se taking under the Fifth Amendment, as two growers contend.

Inesta told the publication that the stakes in the case for California growers are “pretty high.” “Although this rule was meant to allow access in a way that wasn't supposed to be disruptive, my sense is that, in fact, it is very disruptive to the workplace, and probably disruptive and costly to employers," Inesta said.”
