On June 14, 2022, Of Counsel Ronald Baumgarten is quoted in “China Warns Bangladesh about Joining IPEF,” published at World Trade Online, part of Inside U.S. Trade. China has been critical of the U.S.-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF). Before joining BakerHostetler, Baumgarten was Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative in the Office of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. In this article, he commented on the strategic value of adding as many countries as possible to the pact and said that Bangladesh would enhance the list of U.S. partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
