BakerHostetler Team Represents Third Point in SPAC Merger Totaling $2.6 Billion

Partner Steven Goldberg, Co-Leader of the national Mergers & Acquisitions team led a team that included Partners John Harrington and Elizabeth Smith, Counsel Asim Grabowski Shaikh and Associates Matthew Gases, Cary Jones, Lauren Lyster and Douglas Sayranian in representing Third Point LLC in a transaction in which Global Blue, a leading strategic technology and payments partner became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange through a merger with Far Point Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company co-sponsored by Third Point LLC and former NYSE President Thomas Farley.

The combined company has an enterprise valuation of approximately $2.6 billion. The new public company will be incorporated in Switzerland and will trade as Global Blue under the NYSE ticker “GB” upon closing. Third Point is a New York-based global alternative investment firm managing approximately $15 billion in assets for public institutions, private entities and qualified individual clients.
