Ted Kobus, Craig Hoffman Discuss Findings from New Data Security Incident Response Report

Partners Ted Kobus and Craig Hoffman discuss the BakerHostetler Data Security Incident Response Report in an article published April 4, 2019, by Corporate Counsel. Kobus said that “raising employee awareness and employing multifactor authentication are still two of the best defenses against (ransomware) attacks.” Hoffman, noting the increased number of cyberattacks against businesses, said, “There are more notification laws, so more entities are required to provide notice than in the past. There are also better tools for detecting incidents, so incidents that were never detected before are now being identified.”
