About Pittman’s practice
Pittman joins from a Chambers USA-ranked international law firm. He represents clients in various oil and gas litigation matters, including oil field accidents and other catastrophic events, lease and title disputes, royalty class actions, property damage claims, pipeline condemnations, trade secrets, and title disputes. As a lead trial lawyer in state and federal courts, Pittman has tried numerous cases to verdict. His clients include operators, exploration and production companies, midstream companies, and public utilities.
In addition to his formidable litigation skills, Pittman has a transactional practice, advising companies on asset sales and purchases, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory procedures and compliance policies, and drafting and negotiating various oil field contracts.
Pittman received his B.S. from Oklahoma State University and his J.D., with highest honors, from The University of Tulsa College of Law, where he was on the staff of the Energy Law Journal and chair of the Order of the Curule.
