Press Releases / August 9, 2018

COLUMBUS – August 9, 2018 – BakerHostetler announced today the return of partner Frank C. Miller to the firm’s Columbus, Ohio office. With nearly 20 years of experience split between private practice and serving as the lead transactional attorney for one of the country’s largest integrated healthcare systems, Miller brings a particular wealth of experience in the healthcare industry to the firm’s well-established transactional and healthcare industry teams.

Miller’s practice focuses on for-profit and nonprofit corporate governance, managed care contracting, mergers and acquisitions, and health care compliance matters. His comprehensive background includes serving for 10 years as the lead transactional counsel for one of the largest nonprofit integrated healthcare systems in the U.S. In that role, he oversaw the acquisition of a Seattle-based nonprofit charitable health plan and affiliation with a related for-profit medical group in a deal worth more than $2 billion. He also served as lead counsel in negotiating a joint venture between a nonprofit integrated healthcare system and a leading academic medical institution.

“A consummate professional, Frank complements our practice and adds considerable value with a deep knowledge conducting transactional work within the healthcare sector,” remarked Charlene L. McGinty, head of the firm’s healthcare industry team. “He’s extremely well positioned to complement the talents of our team.”

“We are delighted to welcome Frank back to the firm,” said Ronald G. Linville, BakerHostetler’s Columbus office managing partner. “Along with his significant experience, Frank’s a natural fit, and we look forward to working with him.”

Miller received his B.A. from Miami University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

“I am thrilled to be back in Ohio amongst colleagues with whom I’ve practiced for nearly a decade and at a firm where I cut my teeth as a young attorney,” remarked Miller. “I welcome the opportunity to build on what I’ve learned in-house and to leverage my experience to serve a broader range of clients.”
