<p><strong>WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 15, 2020 –</strong> BakerHostetler is pleased to announce that <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/LeahNFisher">Leah Fisher</a> has joined the firm as Director of Inclusion and Diversity. She will work closely with the firm’s Chairman, Diversity Council, Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Board and all of firm management to help guide the firm in ensuring that BakerHostetler is a place where everyone can thrive. Fisher brings a wealth of knowledge designing and implementing successful law firm inclusion and diversity programs, as well as deep talent management and human resources experience.</p>  <p>“Bringing in diverse lawyers is at the forefront of BakerHostetler’s mission to become a more inclusive, diverse and successful workplace, and I know Leah will help take our commitment to these initiatives to the next level,” said BakerHostetler Chairman <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/PaulMSchmidt">Paul Schmidt</a>. “I look forward to adding her important leadership to the firm’s inclusion and diversity infrastructure, and our continued dedication to recruit, retain, promote and advance diverse talent.”</p>  <p>“I’m thrilled to be joining the BakerHostetler team and to work at a firm that is proactively striving to address the disparities in the legal profession,” said Fisher. “It’s important to the firm and to clients to develop and cultivate relationships with diverse lawyers at all levels and roles, from law students to senior partners, and I’m happy to work alongside the firm’s leadership team, which is equally committed to this.”</p>  <p>Fisher joins the firm after spending 18 years at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, most recently as an inclusion and diversity talent management leader responsible for performance management, work allocation and professional development initiatives for the corporate department and its eight practice groups. At Bryan Cave, she launched a sponsorship program for high-potential diverse and women lawyers, which pairs attorneys with members of firm management. Fisher also designed and implemented a firmwide work allocation program to support equal access to billable hours, provided coaching and talent management support to diverse lawyers through the firm’s affinity groups, partnered with practice group leaders and office managing partners on overall inclusion and diversity strategies to support retention and advancement. She also created specialized lateral integration initiatives for diverse lawyers.</p>  <p>Fisher also previously worked as Assistant Director of Career Services at Georgia State University College of Law, and she has implemented diversity and inclusion efforts throughout her entire career.
