CLEVELAND, June 12, 2017 ― Partner María Coor has been named one of “Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers” by Latinvex. This is the fourth consecutive year Coor has been recognized by the leading Latin American business publication. Coor was singled out in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) & Fraud category for the fourth straight year

The editorial staff selects the top female lawyers specializing in Latin America by looking at nearly 100 international law firms. Latinvex chose 100 attorneys from 57 firms based in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Cayman Islands.

María Coor is a native Spanish speaker and she also is fluent in Portuguese. She represents clients in investigations and disclosures involving FCPA compliance and enforcement. Coor counsels clients with international operations, particularly in Latin America, including working with Brazilian affiliates of U.S. corporations to address FCPA compliance. Coor is a contributor to BakerHostetler’s Environmental Law Strategy blog, providing insight into the latest environmental developments in the energy, natural resources, chemicals and agricultural biotechnology industries.

The Latinvex criteria for selection include regional and local prominence, prominence of the law firm, and awards and recognition from such sources as Chambers and Partners. Latinvex, based in Miami, focuses on Latin American news in the legal, technology and energy sectors.
