COSTA MESA – Jan. 27, 2020 – BakerHostetler announced today the addition of Cynthia D. Brittain to its national Private Wealth team, resident in its Costa Mesa office. She was previously a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.

Brittain’s robust background in private client services includes advising domestic and international high net worth families on cross-border planning and sophisticated domestic wealth transfer strategies. Many of her clients have operating businesses, often with a global footprint, and Brittain works extensively on business succession planning and tax solutions through advanced techniques for high-net-worth clients and entrepreneurs across diverse industries. With her background in financial services, Brittain also advises on fiduciary issues that arise during trust administration, and has represented financial services firms with trust-related matters.

“Cynthia’s broad experience in sophisticated private wealth and transactional tax matters will help grow our West Coast presence in private wealth planning,” said George T. Mooradian, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Costa Mesa office. “Her dedication and commitment to building long-term client relationships embody the values we look for as we continue to expand the practice.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining BakerHostetler, a firm with a strong nationwide reputation, and to support the existing Private Wealth practice in Southern California,” said Brittain. “In my work, putting an emphasis on each family’s values and desired goals is crucial to succeeding, and BakerHostetler’s huge private wealth team and client base, and network of attorneys across various practices, provide top of class resources to better serve client needs.”
