Amy Bellman maintains a diverse real estate and hospitality law practice. Her work with the Hospitality Industry Team focuses on shared and whole ownership products, hotels, condominium hotels, cruise ships and residence vessel programs. Amy advises clients on all aspects of resort development and management, including condominium formation, use plans, state and federal regulatory requirements, preparation of legal documentation and sales. In addition, Amy is a regular contributor to Baker Hostetler’s HospitalityLawg, which offers commentary and opinions on hospitality industry issues, trends, challenges and news.
Amy represents both corporate and individual clients in a broad range of real estate matters involving commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use real estate transactions. Her work includes handling sophisticated lease transactions, drafting contracts and providing counsel through all phases of real property acquisition and divestment, including due diligence, entitlement, closing and post-closing development matters.
Amy also has a broad range of litigation experience defending real estate brokers in professional liability actions, prosecuting and defending claims on behalf of landlords and tenants and handling other litigation matters arising out of various types of real estate and hospitality ventures. Amy’s cross-disciplined practice enables her to provide insight and judgment that can only be gained from the type of broad-based experience that she brings to every engagement.
Amy is a member of the American Resort Development Association, Women in the Industry (WIN) and the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.
Prior to entering private practice, Amy served as legislative aide to former New York State Assemblyman Daniel J. Fessenden.
