Anat Maytal works on a variety of litigation matters in connection with Baker Hostetler's role as counsel to the court-appointed Trustee under the Securities Investor Protection Act in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Ms. Maytal was an associate attorney at a trials and investigations firm, where she worked on a range of complex civil and criminal matters, including class actions, antitrust violations, contract and partnership disputes and commercial litigation.
While in law school, Ms. Maytal served as Executive Editor of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal, in which her Note, "Specialized Domestic Violence Courts: Are They Worth the Trouble in Massachusetts?" was published. She was also Co-President of the Women's Law Association and a member of the BU Law Moot Court Team. In addition, Ms. Maytal was actively involved in the Criminal Clinic's Prosecutor Program, where she prosecuted criminal misdemeanor offenders at the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office.
Ms. Maytal is a member of the American and New York State Bar Associations and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
