Brian W. Song

Brian Song focuses his practice on securities and white collar matters, as well as general commercial litigation.

Mr. Song’s representative matters include:

  • Representing a credit card company in one of the largest civil antitrust actions in history;
  • Defending a hedge fund in connection with a civil action claiming proxy solicitation violations;
  • Defending an individual investment manager charged with criminal tax fraud;
  • Representing an investment company in an insider-trading investigation by the SEC; and
  • Representing broker-dealers in customer and industry disputes before FINRA.

Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Song was an associate with two other prestigious national law firms where he represented clients in various complex commercial litigation and criminal matters in state and federal courts and in connection with investigations conducted by various United States Attorney’s Offices, the SEC and TARP. After law school, Mr. Song served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he advised the Chief Counsel, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and senior Army leadership on issues related to government contracts, military construction and operational issues in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2003, Mr. Song served as the executive officer and legal adviser to the Director of the Program Management Office, Coalition Provisional Authority, which oversaw reconstruction projects in Iraq. As a member of the Army Reserve, Mr. Song served as an adjunct professor in the Contract and Fiscal Law Department at the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School from 2007 to 2010 and currently holds the rank of Major.

Mr. Song is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
