Carrie Longstaff focuses her practice in all areas of intellectual property. Her experience includes litigation, patent prosecution, validity and infringement analyses, client counseling on a wide variety of patent procurement and enforcement issues, portfolio development and transactional IP due diligence. She has a technical focus in the mechanical, electrical, software, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical device arts. Ms. Longstaff is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Longstaff worked as an engineer for several years at both Flowserve Corporation (formerly Ingersoll Dresser Pump Co.) and Marotta Scientific Controls. Ms. Longstaff also interned at Allied Signal. While attending law school, she interned at the NYSE Enforcement Division.
