Dan Warren focuses his practice on complex business litigation. He represents financial institutions and other public companies, private organizations, and individuals in major business disputes. He has significant experience in many types of financial matters. These include fiduciary and trust disputes, securities, and corporate governance issues. He has successfully handled cases at trial and in arbitration in many different jurisdictions and forums. He maintains an active appellate practice as well, having argued approximately twenty appeals. Mr. Warren also has a strong interest in pro bono work and substantial experience in civil rights litigation. Among other things, he obtained a reversal on appeal of the murder conviction of a twelve-year-old boy who had confessed to the crime as a result of a coercive interrogation.
Recently, Mr. Warren concluded a residual value insurance coverage case against one of the world’s largest reinsurance organizations. After several years of hard-fought litigation in federal court, Mr. Warren and his team obtained a settlement in excess of $279 million.
Mr. Warren is recognized in “America’s Leading Business Lawyers” by Chambers USA, which noted that clients praise him for his “razor-sharp, strategic mind and effective communication skills.” Mr. Warren also has regularly been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and as an Ohio “Super Lawyer.”
