Nationally recognized for their defense work, our Houston-based Employment attorneys have extensive experience in litigation, administrative proceedings and client counseling. • Energy—Houston is the epicenter of the firm’s Energy practice, representing domestic and international clients in upstream and downstream issues. Our Houston-based Energy team serves energy and oilfield service clients around the world, representing industry leaders in some of their largest transactions, addressing their needs in local and international commerce and handling complex litigation matters. The Energy Team also provides comprehensive counsel to U.S.-based independent exploration and production companies and oilfield services providers.
• Global Trade—The Houston Global Trade practice regularly counsels companies in matters involving international trade regulations, including customs laws and export controls. We advise clients worldwide and have significant experience representing clients before U.S. and foreign courts and regulatory agencies.
• Health Care—Our attorneys counsel product distributors, long-term care facilities, physician groups, health maintenance organizations and other providers of health care services. We counsel clients in merger, affiliation and sale transactions, and represent numerous organizations in HIPAA privacy compliance issues.
• Motor Vehicle and Heavy Equipment—The Houston office represents domestic and foreign manufacturers in the motor vehicle and heavy equipment industry. We advise manufacturers regarding buy/sell agreements, dealership financing, contract drafting, floor planning and trademark issues, and represent manufacturers in state and federal court, and before administrative agencies.
• Real Estate—We represent some of the country’s largest pension funds, national real estate advisory companies, title companies and closely held development corporations. The firm offers counseling in a variety of transactions including the formation of ownership entities through the acquisition, financing, development, and leasing of real property, asset sales and disposition, and commercial leasing.
