Jim Loeb has considerable experience in high-stakes family law cases, representing officers of major corporations, business owners, physicians, lawyers and public figures. He successfully defends the interests of his clients in “heritage” assets including family businesses, inheritances and trusts.
Mr. Loeb’s practice, which includes commercial litigation, takes him throughout Ohio and other states and he appears before trial and appellate courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court. He is listed in “The Best Lawyers in America,” was named one of Northern Ohio’s “Leading Lawyers” in Family Law by Inside Business magazine and has been designated an Ohio “Super Lawyer.” For 2010, he has been named Best Lawyers’ “Cleveland Family Lawyer of the Year,” an honor bestowed upon only one lawyer per specialty in each community.
Mr. Loeb lectures at seminars and has been the featured guest on various radio programs.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Loeb served in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, as a Judicial Extern and was a teaching assistant in The Ohio State University’s Legal Writing Program. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Ohio State University’s School of Law, with Honors in Law.
Mr. Loeb is a member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations and formerly served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the CMBA. He currently serves as a member of the Certified Grievance Committee of the CMBA, which is a body handling disciplinary complaints against lawyers. He also has served on the Juvenile Justice Committee for Cuyahoga County.
