Lori Herf is a legislative advocate who counsels and represents clients in matters related to state government affairs including tax and budget issues, ethics, healthcare, workers' compensation, financial services, utilities, employment and environmental law. She has been instrumental in introducing and passing legislation on municipal and trustee investment, title recognition of therapists and nursing duties.
Ms. Herf recently was instrumental in amending municipal tax reform language into Ohio's budget. She actively advocated for the elimination of the Ohio additional estate tax. Ms. Herf was involved in the passage of legislation on utility deregulation. She also represents a number of healthcare providers in matters related to scope of practice, Medicaid reimbursement, and prescriptive authority. Ms. Herf has represented clients before most state agencies relative to contract and policy decisions and has worked with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review on changes made to the Ohio Administrative Code. She has been involved in numerous political campaigns and political action committee activities.
Ms. Herf is a former staff member in the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate and is a member of the Ohio Lobbying Association. She was named to the list of Outstanding Young Women of America and received a Congressional Award from the Congress of the United States for Outstanding Voluntary Public Service. In addition, she was named in the Millennium Edition of Outstanding Women of America.
