Melissa Brown focuses her practice on commercial real estate, with experience in areas such as commercial leasing, acquisitions and sales, and real estate financing. Prior to joining the firm, Melissa was Corporate Counsel for a private real estate development and property management company where she was lead counsel in structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial leases for landlords.

  • Led the firm’s real estate representation of a Switzerland-based company, related to the acquisition of two major operational facilities located in Texas. The real estate acquisitions were in connection with the company’s stock acquisition of two electromechanical service companies in the Gulf Coast area.
  • Conducts due diligence and advises developers in the acquisition and development of commercial and residential properties, including shopping centers, industrial parks, and multifamily residential developments.
  • Represents purchasers and sellers of office buildings, restaurants, shopping centers, and industrial warehouses.
  • Represents lenders in real estate financing transactions, including large multifamily residential and mixed-use developments.
