Melissa Carvalho focuses her practice in the areas of securities litigation and general commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. She also maintains an active alternative dispute resolution practice, representing clients in AAA and FINRA arbitrations and mediations. Ms. Carvalho is involved in various litigations and investigations conducted in connection with the firm’s representation of the court-appointed trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
Before joining BakerHostetler, Ms. Carvalho was an associate at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she was a member of the Securities and Corporate Governance group.
While at St. John’s University School of Law, Ms. Carvalho was a member of the St. John’s Law Review.
