Michael Pappert has focused his practice in commercial and residential real estate transactions since 1982, and has represented both publicly held and closely held companies, as well as private investors.

He has been involved in the acquisition, development, leasing, management, financing and sale of commercial and residential real estate, including shopping centers, industrial warehouse projects, office buildings, hotel and recreational developments, and multi- and single-family properties.

Mr. Pappert has also represented lenders and borrowers, including financial institutions, mortgage companies, institutional investors, developers and publicly held companies, in lending and financing transactions. He has experience in mortgage and asset-based lending, loan workout and restructuring, and refinancing matters.

In addition, Mr. Pappert has extensively represented entities and individuals in the purchase, sale, restructuring, and reorganization of the ownership of business organizations and assets. His representation has extended to national and multinational financial institutions, real estate companies, insurance concerns, oil and gas companies and pharmaceutical companies.

Mr. Pappert is a member of the Real Estate, Construction and Corporations Sections of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Corporation Section, Subcommittee on the Drafting of the Revised Texas Business Organization Code and was a Co-Editor of the State Bar of Texas, Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Reporter. Mr. Pappert has lectured at several State Bar of Texas seminars.
