Michelle Hervey’s practice focuses primarily on federal tax and business planning for C corporations, S corporations, real estate investment trusts, limited liability companies and partnerships. Such planning includes structuring and documenting a variety of transactions, including formations, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and dispositions; as well as obtaining rulings and other technical guidance from the national office of the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Hervey serves as tax counsel on a range of public securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions. She also represents clients under audit, at IRS Appeals and before the Tax Court.
Ms. Hervey formerly practiced as a CPA for one of the major international accounting firms, where she advised clients regarding expatriate tax planning and corporate and partnership tax planning and compliance issues.
Ms. Hervey is a member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
