Rand L. McClellan

Rand McClellan assists clients with various matters pertaining to commercial law, creditors’ rights and consumer protection, as well as contract issues and business torts. His practice encompasses construction law and complex litigation matters, including class actions, and he has particular experience in assisting financial institutions with litigation relating to business loans.

Rand brings a determined and business-oriented approach to his practice. He has achieved the early dismissal of matters through the use of dispositive motions and successfully defended these dismissals on appeal. Rand has also successfully served as the lead and second chair attorney at trial.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Rand was an intelligence officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an infantry officer with First Battalion, Sixth Marines, and later as the Intelligence Collections Officer for the Second Marine Division, Camp LeJeune, NC.

While in law school, Rand served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John D. Holschuh of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Rand is a 2010 graduate of the Upper Arlington Leadership Academy and is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations.
