Brian McEvoy and Ann O'Brien to Participate in ABA White Collar Conference

On March 2, 2022, Partners Brian McEvoy (Atlanta office) and Ann O’Brien (Washington, D.C., office) will present at the ABA’s White Collar Crime 2022, held March 2-4 in San Francisco, California.

McEvoy will moderate a healthcare panel, “Health Care Fraud Enforcement Trends.” The panel will discuss current healthcare fraud enforcement trends, including recent genetic testing cases, telehealth, DME and COVID-related cases. The discussion will also touch on the new threat of antitrust enforcement. Additionally, the panel will address the evolution of healthcare fraud enforcement from the investigation stage through sentencing, including trials during the pandemic, post-pandemic and the new jury pool.

O’Brien will take part in the conference’s “Significant Legal Developments in the Regions for the Central and Midwest Regions.” She will touch on recent developments in the area of criminal antitrust, including the DOJ Antitrust Division’s recent string of novel criminal antitrust no-poach and wage-fixing cases.
