Overview

Delores Chichi focuses on labor and employment work and litigation matters in her growing practice. She is also a member of the BakerHostetler team serving as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS), an unprecedented recovery effort involving hundreds of actions. 

Delores performs in-depth research and drafts memoranda, recommendations and motions as she supports her colleagues and clients and continues to gain experience with a variety of matters.

  • Conducted research regarding adverse inferences, unconstitutional fines, authenticity and admissibility of social media evidence, ownership and control in the context of contempt. Assisted in drafting post-hearing memorandum in opposition to final order of contempt.
  • Conducted research regarding motions to seal and motions to decertify a class and assisted in the drafting and editing of motions regarding the same.
  • Assisted in preparation of memorandum of law in opposition to a motion for contempt, including research regarding criminal and civil contempt, the judiciary law, civil penalties and summary judgment.
