George Mooradian is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Costa Mesa office. His practice focuses on tax and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and the administration of trusts and estates. His clientele includes corporate executives, successful closely held businesses and their owners, and corporate trustees.
With substantial experience in the development of sophisticated business succession and estate plans for the owners of closely held businesses, George has advised high-net-worth individuals on personal tax and charitable planning through the use of devices such as charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, private foundations and supporting organizations.
George is called on regularly by corporate trustees to advise on trust administration issues. These issues include utilization of postmortem planning techniques and trust reformations to achieve desired tax results and dealing with administration issues and disputes arising under trust instruments.
George has experience in related property and sales tax issues. He also has been involved in tax controversy work ranging from federal income, estate and gift tax audits to appeals and litigation to property tax disputes.
George has been named in the Chambers USA Guide: America’s Leading Lawyers in the area of Tax: Estate Planning since 2011 and has been named a Southern California “Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics and the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine every year since 2006. George is a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan.
