Overview

Guillermo Todd focuses his real estate practice on commercial leasing and ground-up development transactions across a variety of industries, including retail, quick service restaurants and mixed-use projects. He works with both landlords and tenants on the preparation and negotiation of long-term leases, establishing terms and setting expectations for all parties.

Gullermo's broad real estate background allows him to see transactions from a multitude of viewpoints and provide strategic advice to clients based on their identified objectives. With experience that encompasses roles in corporate, private practice and city government, he brings a well-rounded perspective to the leasing, acquisition and lending process.

  • Negotiated and prepared covenants, restrictions and easement agreements required for the successful development and subsequent operation of mixed-use and transit oriented developments.
  • Represented multi-family housing, condominium and apartment developers in connection with the acquisition and development of real property.
  • Represented REIT in the disposition of apartment complexes and office buildings throughout the U.S.
  • Drafted, negotiated and reviewed an extensive range of agreements such as intellectual property, telecommunication, data use and services agreements, software licenses, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements.
  • Represented the City of Atlanta as lead real estate counsel in the $5.4 billion redevelopment of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
  • Drafted and negotiated agreements in which the City of Atlanta secured the air, easement and property rights necessary to construct the Consolidated Car Rental Facility, the Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. International Terminal, a new runway and the road and Automated People Mover connecting the Airport to the Consolidated Car Rental Facility.
  • Worked extensively with senior management in developing business strategies, assessing risks, gauging public reaction and ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state and local statutes and regulations.
  • Handled grant of easements to airlines for the construction and maintenance of electrical substations, conduits and transmission lines.
  • Prepared legislation presented to and approved by the Atlanta City Council for the redevelopment of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
