Congressman Steny Hoyer is serving his second stint as House Majority Leader, responsible for shaping Democrats’ legislative priorities and scheduling them for floor consideration. He was first elected to represent his suburban Washington district in 1981. For the past decade Leader Hoyer has spearheaded House Democrats’ “Make It in America” initiative and is continuing to work alongside the Biden administration on the initiative’s main components of infrastructure, education and skills training, and entrepreneurship.

In 2019, BakerHostetler hosted its 30th annual Legislative Seminar, widely considered Washington’s premier annual showcase on legislative policy. COVID-19 forced the cancellation of our in-person event in 2020.

We are back in 2021 – but with a twist. Rather than a one-day, in-person event in Washington, this year’s Legislative Seminar will be a series of virtual discussions with members of Congress scheduled over the coming weeks this spring and summer. You will hear firsthand from Democrats and Republicans, House members and senators, regarding developments in tax, infrastructure, healthcare, trade, energy policy and more.
