<strong>SAN FRANCISCO – Aug. 2, 2021 – </strong>BakerHostetler announced that <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/VictoriaWeatherford">Victoria Weatherford</a> has joined the firm as a partner in its San Francisco office. Weatherford will be a member of the firm’s litigation group and its <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/Commercial-Litigation">commercial litigation practice team</a>.

Weatherford is an experienced trial lawyer, who has particular expertise representing companies in the technology and consumer products industries in class action and government investigation matters. Her practice also includes counseling clients on a wide range of issues related to consumer protection, unfair competition and false advertising.

Weatherford’s arrival follows the July announcement that <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/BethanyLukitsch">Bethany Lukitsch</a> joined BakerHostetler as co-leader of its class action defense team, based in Los Angeles, and builds upon the addition of California trial lawyers <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/RobbCAdkins">Robb Adkins</a>, <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/DavidLAronoff">David Aronoff</a>, <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/KimberlySMorris">Kimberly Morris</a>, <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/WilliamOxley">Bill Oxley</a> and <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/DavidHStern">David Stern</a>. The firm has built a robust presence on the West Coast, with the addition of several first-chair trial lawyers covering consumer protection and false advertising, securities and financial services, products liability and mass tort and white collar matters. Since 2019 the firm has added more than 35 attorneys on the West Coast, including opening a San Francisco office.

From 2014-2018, Weatherford served as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, where she first-chaired statewide unfair competition and false advertising cases to trial and served as lead appellate counsel as a member of the officewide Affirmative Litigation Task Force and the Code Enforcement Division.

It is not surprising that she was honored as a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association,” said <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/WRayWhitman">W. Ray Whitman</a>, chair of BakerHostetler’s litigation group. “She will be an asset to our litigation team.”

Weatherford earned her J.D. from the Yale Law School, where she served as a notes editor of the <em>Yale Law Journal</em> and executive editor of the <em>Yale Journal on Regulation</em>. She received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating <em>summa cum laude</em> and Phi Beta Kappa.

Following law school, Weatherford served as a law clerk to the Honorable William B. Shubb of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, and to the Honorable Edward C. Prado of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Federal Bar Association for the Northern District of California.
