LOS ANGELES — Jan. 5, 2026 — BakerHostetler is proud to announce that <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/professionals/bridget-s-mccabe/">Bridget McCabe</a> will serve as managing partner of its Los Angeles office effective Jan. 1. McCabe succeeds <a href="https://www.bakerlaw.com/professionals/eric-e-sagerman/">Eric Sagerman</a>, who, during his tenure as managing partner, played a pivotal role in BakerHostetler’s expansion in Los Angeles and the West Coast region and will become West Coast senior consultant as part of the Firmwide Office of the Chair.

“Leading the Los Angeles office has been extremely rewarding, especially during this time of growth, and I’m confident that Bridget has the leadership abilities to continue to expand our presence on the West Coast,” said Sagerman. “She has done a great job managing multidisciplinary and cross-office teams in litigation matters, and I know she will excel as an office leader while continuing to help manage many of our most complex litigation cases.”

McCabe represents clients in antitrust litigation and complex commercial disputes in federal courts across the country. Her work has led to successful results for clients over the course of her career, and she currently leads the defense of several putative antitrust class actions alleging anticompetitive conspiracy claims. Her practice spans a broad array of industries, including energy, health care, higher education, media and insurance.&nbsp;McCabe also regularly counsels clients on antitrust and competition issues. She has a strong commitment to legal mentorship and has served in various mentorship capacities both in and outside the firm.

McCabe started her career with the now-defunct global litigation firm Howrey LLP before joining BakerHostetler with a group of 18 antitrust litigators in 2011, and she has worked in BakerHostetler’s Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles offices. She has served in several other leadership roles at BakerHostetler, including as the Los Angeles deputy litigation leader, the chair of the Los Angeles Mentorship Committee, a member of the Los Angeles Hiring Committee and the deputy chair of the firmwide Women’s Talent Engagement Forum.

As managing partner, McCabe will lead the Los Angeles office’s strategic initiatives. Her extensive background in antitrust litigation and leadership, where she regularly oversees complex cases involving multidisciplinary legal teams, will be instrumental in driving BakerHostetler’s continued growth on the West Coast.

McCabe is nationally recognized by The Legal 500 United States and The Best Lawyers in America and has been named by the Daily Journal as a Top Antitrust Lawyer in California in several recent years, including 2024 and 2025. McCabe received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, where she served as production editor of the Catholic University Law Review and as a member of the law review’s executive editorial board; she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of San Diego, where she earned departmental honors and played Division I volleyball.
