On July 15, BakerHostetler received Meta Legal’s 2022 Outside Counsel Diversity Champions award. Each year, Meta invites 40 firms to compete for this award.  “A key component of the five-year strategic plan BakerHostetler launched in 2020 was a commitment to the recruitment, retention and advancement of people of all backgrounds and experiences, at all levels of our firm. We have actualized this commitment through innovative talent development programs to create and foster greater opportunities for women and diverse attorneys to succeed within our firm. Earning this honor underscores the success of the efforts we’ve made to prioritize inclusion and diversity within our own ranks and in the legal profession more broadly,” said Chairman Paul Schmidt.  In addition to a wide range of internal initiatives designed to aid in recruiting, supporting and advancing diverse attorneys, BakerHostetler has partnered with groups such as the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, the Alliance for Asian American Justice and the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.
